Artium is a reference because of its conservation and publicising work in the field of modern art. Its collection includes nearly 3,000 works of art, and all techniques used in contemporary art are represented, from painting and sculpture to photography, video and installation, as well as the artists who wrote and still write the history of art of the twentieth and twenty-first regionally, nationally and internationally, from the early avant-garde to the hottest names of the moment, with artists such as Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, Jorge Oteiza, Eduardo Chillida, Miquel Barceló and Cristina Iglesias, among others.
